Ordering your first custom cake
Follow the order from gallery references and serving details to the quote, payment and handover. Use the quote checklist before messaging us so the first response can focus on the cake rather than collecting missing basics.
Six quote essentials
For a useful first quote, we mainly need six things. Add the other details only when they matter to your order.
Tell us the date the cake is needed. Add the handover time only when it is important.
Describe the occasion, theme or gallery cake you like. Attach reference images if you have them, or ask for design guidance.
Give us the serving count so we can advise a suitable cake size.
Choose a confirmed Amour Desserts flavour, ask for a recommendation, or share another idea for confirmation.
Include the name, age or wording, colours, toppers and must-have details, or write ‘none’.
Tell us whether you prefer delivery or pickup and include the suburb, venue or pickup location.
Only add these when relevant
Handover time: Add it when the cake must arrive or be collected by a specific time.
Finish preference: Mention buttercream, fondant or ‘not sure’ only if you have a preference.
Budget range: Optional, but useful when you would like us to suggest a suitable level of detail.
Allergen or dietary questions: Mention these in the first message when relevant so we can discuss the request before the order proceeds.
A strong enquiry includes your date, servings, flavour, theme or design idea, reference images, name or age details, and pickup or delivery suburb.
That lets us advise what can be created before you commit.
We recommend ordering about one month ahead. Peak-season and popular-date production spots can be taken earlier, so please order as soon as your celebration date is known.
Custom cakes require at least seven days' notice. Detailed designs and peak-season orders are best placed three to four weeks ahead.
Include the date and required time, occasion and design direction, servings, flavour, exact wording or age, colours and personalisation, and delivery or pickup plan. Attach one to three labelled reference images.
